Accommodation
Hummingbird Retreat House is a dedicated retreat space for adults only, offering a quiet, contemplative space. It is open for retreats from the beginning of October to the end of July.
Each of our king sized, en-suite bedrooms has generous storage space, ceiling and tower fans, free Wi-Fi, a writing desk, chair and multiple wall sockets (Type G - British standard). Bedding and towels are provided but please bring a beach towel because our towels stay on the premises. All the ensuites have showers which are heated naturally by the sun and so the temperature will vary according to the time of day. There is a heated shower in the Sanctuary apartment. Each spacious bedroom can become a twin room but please note that the beds are small singles (75cms wide). The house and garden are non-smoking areas.
We have partnered with Doliver, a local artist, who has provided paintings in his unique bold style to decorate each room. If you wish to take a special souvenir of your stay then please consider purchasing one of Doliver's paintings.
Mosquito nets are provided, although our guests find that the window mosquito meshing is all that's needed. So with our hotel standard king-sized beds and quiet surroundings we offer you a peaceful night sleep.
Tranquility
This spacious bedroom offers views of the beautiful bougainvillea outside the window inviting you to enjoy the garden view from your bed. The room comes with an ensuite shower room with a large shower and is located at the side of the house, close to the kitchen. Relax in this king-sized bedroom and soak in the Tranquillity.
Harmony
This peaceful bedroom with ensuite shower room offers all you need for a restful stay. The king-sized bed looks out to the back garden, offering the evening glow of sunsets. The room is located close to the backdoor and the courtyard for easy access to the outside. Relax in this king-sized bedroom and find a fresh sense of Harmony.
Serenity
This calm bedroom comes with a spacious ensuite shower room and king-sized bed. The room provides a garden view looking out onto the back garden, offering the evening glow of sunsets. It is opposite to the outside courtyard, which is a wonderful place for stargazing. Relax in this king-sized bedroom and enjoy this Serenity.
Sanctuary
Relax in our self-contained spacious apartment and enjoy the beautiful sea view from the balcony. The bedroom has a king-sized bed and there is also a comfy sofa-bed in the living area. This apartment also offers a large shower room with a heated shower, a walk in wardrobe and a living/kitchen area. The kitchen is fully equipped with a cooker, microwave, kettle, toaster, fridge freezer and kitchen utensils. Together this creates your Sanctuary for a peaceful retreat.
