We have bought the property and have done some building work already such as replacing the roof and windows, rewiring the property and making all the bedrooms ensuite . We have donated the house to Hummingbird HOPE to be used as a retreat house. We are now raising money to furnish and decorate it so that you can come and enjoy it along with others.

We are grateful for any amount given however small.
When we receive your donation we will send you a thank you which may include a thank you gift such as a free stay depending on the amount given.

Eco-friendly house
Solar panels would cost about £10,000 and would need to be specially coated to reduce erosion from the sea air. These would enable the house to use solar power. A large underground cistern is planned to collect rainwater to be used for non-drinking purposes and this would cost £8,000.
Kitchens
There is a large kitchen which needs to be updated so that it can be used to prepare food for guests and for those wishing to self cater. Adjacent to this is a small kitchen which will be used for guests when the main kitchen is in use. The main kitchen refurbishment will cost about £4,000 and the small kitchen will cost £2,000.

You may like to consider fundraising as a community group, business or group of friends, in order to give the thank you gift to someone needing a restful retreat in the Caribbean or as a special birthday or celebration gift.
*Terms and conditions- Excluding airport transfers, meals and other services. The offer is only redeemable when the retreat house is fully operational but has no expiry date. If the number of nights exceeds 7 then they can be taken at more than one time if required but no stay can exceed a month at any one time. Your thank you gift will be made up of a combination of these offers depending on the nearest round figure, in line with the offers listed. It is permissible to pass on the thank you gift to another person. If you do pass the gift on, please inform us of this in writing (by email) at least a month before they book a visit.
